Robert Laidlow's "Reality Eaters": ambitious orchestral works inspired by Einstein and AI
Robert Laidlow's debut album "Reality Eaters" (NMC) features orchestral works inspired by Einstein's field equations, Newton's law of universal gravitation and artificial intelligence. The centrepiece "Warp" is a terse 12-minute piano concerto performed by Joseph Havlat with the BBC Philharmonic conducted by Vimbayi Kaziboni. Reviewers praise the music as wildly imaginative yet approachable despite its highly complex scientific concepts.
