Dangerous Accidents in Tatras After Weather Improves — TOPR Called Out 15 Times
An improvement in Tatra Mountain weather on Thursday after several days of rain brought out many hikers, resulting in a series of accidents. The Tatra Volunteer Mountain Rescue Service (TOPR) responded to 15 call-outs, including several serious falls from height. Injured hikers were evacuated by rescue helicopter to nearby hospitals.
