Robert Lewandowski's debut for Chicago Fire against Vancouver Whitecaps, scheduled for Thursday night Polish time, was postponed to 6 October due to poor air quality in Chicago. As a result, Lewandowski missed the chance to end a 16-year run of failing to score on his debut for a foreign club – he has only ever netted on his first appearance for Polish sides.
