Maciej Wyderka breaks 1:44 barrier in 800m on return from injury layoff
24-year-old Maciej Wyderka, who broke Adam Kszczot's indoor Polish record in the winter, returned to competition after a forced break and immediately clocked a sub-1:44 time over 800 metres — a barrier only four Polish athletes have ever beaten. The performance demonstrates he has maintained his excellent form. Wyderka acknowledges that to compete at the world level, he must clearly beat the Polish record of 1:43.22.
