Polish Wild Card Gina Feistel Reaches WTA 125 Quarter-Final, Beats Former Wimbledon Junior Champion

Polish tennis player Gina Feistel, handed a last-minute wild card into qualifying for a WTA 125 event, has reached the quarter-finals. On Thursday she defeated a former Wimbledon junior doubles champion considered a top prospect and ranked nearly 170 places above her. Her run is being compared to that of Maja Chwalińska, who two months ago qualified for Roland Garros and went all the way to the final.
