Blue Water Autonomy and Saildrone sue US Navy over exclusion from unmanned vessel program

Blue Water Autonomy and Saildrone have filed federal lawsuits against the US Navy after being excluded from the Medium Unmanned Surface Vessel (MUSV) Family of Systems acquisition program. Blue Water Autonomy alleges the Navy used overly restrictive evaluation criteria, misread its proposal and reached irrational conclusions inconsistent with the program's requirements. A significant portion of both companies' court filings has been redacted, obscuring the specific shortcomings the Navy cited.
