Wildfire smoke shifts Mets-Phillies start time, postpones MLS game in Chicago

Wildfire smoke drifting from Canada and northern Minnesota forced organisers to move Thursday's MLB game between the New York Mets and the Philadelphia Phillies in Philadelphia up by one hour due to air quality concerns. An MLS match between Vancouver and Chicago was postponed entirely for the same reason. The smoke blanketed much of the northeastern and upper Midwestern United States.
