Adolf Maria Bocheński: brilliant Polish thinker killed at Ancona in 1944
Adolf Maria Bocheński, one of the most brilliant Polish political thinkers of the 20th century, was killed on 18 July 1944 near Ancona, Italy. A journalist, conservative intellectual and soldier, he was described by contemporaries as "the only serious hero of this war." The anniversary of his death falls shortly.
