Toronto filmmaker made dark comedy about housing crisis for just $10,000

Director Tristan Wheeler shot "Toronto Apartment," a dark comedy about a tenant who subleases his flat by the hour to survive, for just $10,000 using a $200 camera over 11 days. The film is a direct response to Toronto's housing crisis. Wheeler says he deliberately turned his severe budget constraints into a creative advantage.
