BitPay gets Dutch MiCA licence, plans to expand stablecoin payments in Europe

The Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) has approved BitPay's application as a crypto-asset service provider under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. The company plans to use the licence to expand stablecoin payment services across Europe. This is among the first approvals granted under the new EU crypto regulatory framework.
