EU's largest heat accumulator under construction at Warsaw's Żerań power plant
Orlen Termika has announced that the main structure of the EU's largest heat accumulator is now complete at the Żerań combined heat and power plant in Warsaw. The tank will hold 61,000 cubic metres of water — equivalent to 24 Olympic swimming pools — heated to a maximum temperature of 98°C, enabling large-scale thermal energy storage for the city.
