Archaeologists uncover 3,000-year-old tomb near Luxor and identify its occupant
Archaeologists excavating near Luxor on the west bank of the Nile have unearthed a roughly 3,000-year-old tomb belonging to a high-ranking ancient Egyptian. The tomb was found in the Sheikh Abd el-Qurna area, a region long associated with elite burials. Researchers have identified who was buried inside, adding a new chapter to Egypt's rich archaeological record.
