Developer Rewrites DOOM in 56,000 Lines of a Self-Made Programming Language

A developer created a custom programming language called BET and used it to implement DOOM in 56,000 lines of code. The project is a hobbyist language experiment demonstrating how far a self-designed environment can be pushed. Both the code and language documentation are publicly available online.
