US tightens student and foreign journalist visas with new restrictions

The US Department of Homeland Security published new rules on Thursday that tighten F and J student visas and visas for foreign journalists. The regulations shorten permitted stays and introduce additional restrictions, reversing decades-old policies. The rules were published in the Federal Register.
