Warsaw's Żerań plant builds 65-metre heat battery to warm 75,000 homes
Construction of a giant heat accumulator at the Żerań combined heat and power plant in Warsaw is nearing completion. The 65-metre-tall tank, described as a "thermos", will be filled with hot water over the course of a month and has the capacity of 24 Olympic swimming pools. The stored heat will be sufficient to warm 75,000 homes during winter.
