Elon Musk backs Marine Le Pen; France's RN keeps its distance

Elon Musk publicly backed Marine Le Pen for the first time on his platform X, writing to his 240.8 million followers that she is "the last hope of France." RN spokesman Laurent Jacobelli confirmed the sentiment but stressed the party does not solicit such endorsements and is not responsible for those who support it. The party is maintaining the same arm's-length stance toward Musk as it does toward US President Donald Trump.
