WHO: Ebola in DR Congo Spreading Faster Than Ever — 796 Deaths in Two Months

The World Health Organization warned on Thursday that Ebola is spreading through the Democratic Republic of Congo faster than in any previous outbreak. In just two months, more than 2,000 confirmed cases and 796 deaths have been recorded. Health officials say the rapid spread is compounded by the lack of an approved vaccine for this virus strain and ongoing armed conflict in the country.
