DR Congo health workers strike over unpaid wages as Ebola spreads at record pace

Healthcare workers battling the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo have gone on strike over unpaid wages, threatening to worsen an already critical situation. The World Health Organization has warned that the current outbreak is spreading faster than any previous Ebola epidemic in the country. More than 2,000 cases have been recorded, including 754 deaths.
