Protests erupt in Ukraine after Zelensky sacks popular defence minister Fedorov

Rare protests broke out in several Ukrainian cities after President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed popular Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov after only six months in the role. Demonstrators chanted "Shame!" and "Power to the people!" in the streets. Fedorov, regarded as a moderniser, is widely seen as a casualty of infighting within the Ukrainian military.
