Stop building stone cairns in Karkonosze — it harms the environment

Tourists hiking in the mountains, including in Karkonosze National Park, frequently build stone cairns along the trails. An educator from the park warns that this practice is harmful — it disrupts habitats for insects and other animals living beneath the stones and damages fragile mountain ecosystems. Building such structures inside national parks is illegal.
