Canadian wildfires turn US skies orange — why it's worse than ever before

Smoke from more than 800 wildfires burning across Ontario and the rest of Canada is drifting south and turning skies orange over the United States. Historically, Canadian fires did not produce such dramatic effects across the border. Scientists point to climate change and the increased intensity of modern wildfires as the key reasons the phenomenon has worsened.
