Ukraine awards outgoing UK PM Starmer its Order of Freedom on his final Kyiv visit

Ukraine awarded outgoing UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer its Order of Freedom honour on 19 July 2025 during his farewell visit to Kyiv. Andy Burnham takes over leadership of the Labour Party on 17 July and becomes prime minister on 20 July, making him the UK's fifth leader since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022. Starmer was one of Ukraine's most vocal European supporters during his time in office.
