Akihiro Miwa, androgynous Japanese pop icon and Miyazaki voice actor, dies at 91

Akihiro Miwa, a Japanese actor and singer celebrated for his gender-fluid glamour, has died at the age of 91. In Japan he was one of the first androgynous pop-culture stars and an inspirational figure for generations. Internationally he was best known for his voice roles in animated films by director Hayao Miyazaki.
