Polish Foreign Ministry freezes grant payments after WP exposes irregularities

Poland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has suspended further grant payments to an association revealed by Wirtualna Polska to have changed its name and statutes shortly before applying for a grant under the "Polonia i Polacy za Granicą 2026" competition. Spokesman Maciej Wewiór said the freeze will remain in place until a full audit is completed.
