New York Times moves to quash DOJ subpoenas over Qatar Air Force One reporting
The New York Times filed a motion on Wednesday to quash subpoenas the Justice Department served on its journalists who reported on security concerns surrounding the new Air Force One, a plane gifted to the US by Qatar. The paper argues the subpoenas were issued in bad faith to punish the Times for its coverage and violate journalists' constitutional rights. Senior vice-president David McCraw said the Times will fight in court to defend reporters' right to protect their sources.
