New cockroach species Supella longipalpa spreads across Europe, reaches Poland

Supella longipalpa, known as the brown-banded cockroach, is increasingly appearing in Polish homes. The insect tolerates dry and warm conditions, moves extremely fast and can fly, making it difficult to control. It reached Poland via tourists from southern Europe, and its northward spread is driven by rising temperatures across the continent.
