FDA approves Merck's first oral PCSK9 cholesterol drug
The FDA has approved Merck's oral PCSK9 inhibitor, the first pill of its kind in a drug class previously available only as injections for high cholesterol. Separately, prediction market platform Kalshi announced it will begin taking bets on clinical trial outcomes and FDA approval decisions, partnering with tech firm AppliedXL, which monitors and forecasts trial results.
