Łukasz Żak sentenced to 20 years — legal expert: punishment fits the crime

A Polish court sentenced Łukasz Żak to 20 years in prison — the maximum penalty under the Polish penal code. Criminal law professor Mikołaj Małecki of Jagiellonian University told TVN24 the sentence was fully justified, noting that Żak showed no remorse throughout the trial. The expert said the defendant's conduct in court itself demonstrated he deserved the harshest available punishment.
