Macron vows to replant Fontainebleau forest after wildfires burned 10%
French President Emmanuel Macron has pledged to replant the historic Fontainebleau forest south of Paris after wildfires burned through at least 10% of its 20,000-hectare expanse. Hundreds of residents were forced to flee their homes. The forest, famous among hikers, climbers and nature lovers worldwide, is one of Europe's most visited natural sites.
