Polish data watchdog fines homeowner 26,000 zł for illegal CCTV covering neighbours' properties
Poland's Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) has issued its first fine against a private individual for home CCTV surveillance, amounting to over 26,000 zł. The owner failed to comply with an earlier UODO order to remove cameras that recorded a public road and neighbouring properties. The penalty was imposed for non-compliance with the data protection authority's decision.
