Amnesty International expresses regret over criticism of JK Rowling's sexual violence centre

Amnesty International has expressed regret after characterising a women-only sexual violence support centre in Edinburgh, linked to J.K. Rowling, as "anti-rights". The human rights charity's original criticism sparked significant controversy around women's single-sex services and transgender rights. Amnesty has now stepped back from that position, acknowledging the characterisation was inappropriate.
