Business warns: UC100 bill will centralise Poland's €1.4bn waste system

Poland's draft UC100 bill would overhaul the financing of the country's waste management system, involving a budget of around 6 billion zloty. Business groups, including the Lewiatan Confederation, warn the legislation would over-centralise the system. Lewiatan's Piotr Mazurek argues that state-run waste models consistently produce the lowest recycling rates across Europe.
