New Monkey Species Found in DRC: Colobus congoensis May Already Be Endangered

Scientists have identified a previously unknown species of African monkey, named Colobus congoensis, in the rainforests of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The primate is distinguished by its distinctive pink-orange lips and was spotted fleetingly in the forest canopy. Researchers warn the newly described species may already be at risk of extinction before it can be properly studied.
