Jellyfish Sting Over 270 Swimmers on Baltic Sea Beaches

More than 270 swimmers were stung by jellyfish on Baltic Sea beaches in an unusual surge of the creatures in waters where they rarely pose a serious threat. Lifeguards and beach services recorded a significant spike in incidents. The phenomenon has been described as atypical for the Baltic region.
