Parafianowicz: comparing UPA to the Home Army is "completely absurd"
Journalist Zbigniew Parafianowicz strongly criticised the Ukrainian narrative equating the UPA with the Polish Home Army (AK). He called it "completely absurd" to compare what he described as a "disgusting, anti-Polish formation" with the AK, which fought occupiers and built an underground state loyal to the legitimate government-in-exile. The historical dispute remains a significant source of tension in Polish-Ukrainian relations.
