Russian pressure mounts on Baltic states — Gen. Polko urges calm
Recent days have brought a series of reports about Russian actions targeting the Baltic states, including unannounced military exercises, lawsuits alleging "persecution" of Russian-speaking populations, and warnings from Lithuania's president about planned attacks on critical infrastructure. General Roman Polko, former commander of the GROM special forces unit, is urging the public not to panic. He nonetheless stresses the need for vigilance and proper defence preparations.
