Smartphone batteries typically degrade noticeably after 2–3 years of daily use
The battery is one of the most critical yet least glamorous components of a smartphone, gradually losing capacity and requiring more frequent charging over time. Most lithium-ion cells retain around 80% of their original capacity after 300–500 charge cycles, which for daily users translates to roughly 2–3 years. After that point, a phone's battery life noticeably deteriorates compared to when it was new.
