Sam Neill died of pneumonia in Sydney on 13 July, cancer-free at the time of death

Actor Sam Neill died on 13 July in Sydney, aged 78, from pneumonia, according to his manager Philip Grenz as reported by TMZ. Since 2022 he had battled a rare T-cell angioimmunoblastic lymphoma, but in April announced he was cancer-free following CAR-T therapy. His family confirmed he died surrounded by loved ones at St Vincent's Private Hospital, free of cancer at the time of his death.
