Pokémon Unite dropped from 2027 Pokémon World Championships

The Pokémon Company has announced that Pokémon Unite will be removed from the 2027 Pokémon World Championships lineup. A separate standalone tournament for the title will instead be held in Tokyo. Pokémon Unite, a free-to-play MOBA available on Switch and mobile since 2021, has continued to receive regular updates despite the competitive demotion.
