Poland's climate ministry pushes bottle deposit on miniature liquor bottles

Deputy Climate Minister Anita Sowińska told a parliamentary committee that Poland plans to extend its bottle deposit system to small liquor bottles ("małpki"). Legislation is set to be drafted in autumn 2026. The drinks industry opposes including glass containers, warning of logistical chaos and higher costs.
