UK Heat Waves Become a Political Challenge for Incoming PM Andy Burnham

Andy Burnham is set to enter Downing Street next week amid record-breaking summer heat, with temperatures topping 37°C in parts of the UK last month. A Public First poll for POLITICO shows over 40% of Britons say the heat has increased their concern about climate change, though just under half said it hadn't changed their views. Thirty-six percent said the heat made them more supportive of clean energy projects, while 66% expressed a different position on the issue.
