Victorian Liberal MP Moira Deeming Drops Lawsuit in Bid to Avoid Disendorsement
Victorian Liberal MP Moira Deeming has dropped her Supreme Court challenge against the Liberal party president Brian Loughnane in a last-ditch attempt to avoid being disendorsed before the state election. She had filed the legal action on 3 July after alleging assault against former leader Matthew Guy and refusing to apologise following a police finding of no offence. Deeming is now calling on her party to pursue mediation rather than vote on her disendorsement.
