T-Mobile shuts down 2G network and offers free 5G phones to remaining users

T-Mobile is shutting down its 2G network, making it the last major US carrier to do so. The company is offering free 5G-capable phones to customers still using old handsets that cannot connect to newer network standards. T-Mobile is urging all remaining 2G subscribers to upgrade as soon as possible.
