Zelensky backs Naftogaz chief Serhiy Koretsky as Ukraine's next prime minister

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday named Serhiy Koretsky, CEO of Naftogaz, as his preferred candidate for prime minister. Zelensky justified the choice by pointing to the need to prepare Ukraine for the coming winter. A formal motion to appoint Koretsky was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada the same evening.
