2027 Hummer EV Icon 25 Edition brings back H2's yellow and adds NACS

GMC has introduced the 2027 Hummer EV Icon | 25 Edition.

Yellow and black model celebrates the H2’s 25th anniversary.

2027 model also gains native NACS port for easier charging.

General Motors is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Hummer H2 by introducing the Hummer EV Icon | 25. It’s a special edition “born from a legacy of bold design, cultural impact and unmistakable presence.”

That’s overly ambitious praise for a slow-selling EV lineup and a brand that was dead for a decade, but the model wears a bright yellow Icon paint job inspired by the eye-catching hue offered on the H2. It’s contrasted by a number of black accents including the wheels, cladding, mirrors, and roof. The model also has black recovery points and skid plates.

Interior changes are likewise minor, but include a new Jet Black cabin with unique infotainment graphics. They’re joined by a serialized badge on the dashboard, which notes the vehicle is one of 250. Buyers will also receive an “exclusive keepsake,” but GMC declined to say what it is.

The Icon | 25 package will be offered on 2X and 3X versions of the truck and SUV. There’s no word on pricing, but the 2026 models begin at $97,825 before a $2,695 destination fee.

2027 Model Year Updates

Besides the special edition, GMC announced a handful of model year updates including a native North American Charging Standard (NACS) port. It allows for easy access to Tesla Superchargers and the company noted the change doesn’t impact its vehicle-to-home bidirectional charging capability.

Additional changes are limited, but buyers will find four other new exterior colors known as Azurite Blue, Dark Ember, Dark Ridge, and Deep Void Matte. There are also two new 22-inch wheel designs.

The 2027 GMC Hummer EV will go into production later this year and feature familiar powertrains. This means the model offers up to 1,160 hp (865 kW / 1,176 PS) and can hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in as little as 2.8 seconds.
