Marciniak overlooked for World Cup final — ex-referee calls it a "FIFA failure"

Polish referee Szymon Marciniak has not been appointed to officiate the 2026 World Cup final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, disappointing Polish football fans. Former referee and officiating expert Rafał Rostkowski told "Meczykach" the situation is already a disappointment and called it a "FIFA failure" regarding Polish referees. He argued the outcome should have been different regardless of the final decision.
