Parliamentary committee backs Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram for Polish Ombudsman post

Poland's parliamentary Committee on Justice and Human Rights gave a positive opinion to the candidacy of Sylwia Gregorczyk-Abram, put forward by KO and Lewica, for the post of Commissioner for Human Rights (RPO). The candidacy of Adam Borowski, nominated by PiS, received a negative opinion. The final decision will rest with a full Sejm vote.
