IHF Lifts Ban on Russia and Belarus in International Handball

The International Handball Federation (IHF) has lifted the ban on Russia and Belarus competing in international tournaments, effective from a new decision announced by the organisation's press office. The suspension had been in place since 4 March 2022, imposed in response to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The move is expected to prove controversial across the sport.
