Guy Scott, Africa's first white head of state in decades, dies aged 82

Guy Scott, the Zambian politician who briefly served as acting president of Zambia in 2014, has died aged 82. He became Africa's first white head of state in more than two decades after the death of President Michael Sata, holding the post until a successor was elected. His tenure was historically significant on a continent where independence movements had been defined by African self-rule.
