Base app leadership handed to Cobie as Pollak admits social strategy fell short
Coinbase executive Jesse Pollak is stepping back from leading the Base app and handing that role to crypto influencer Cobie, after admitting the platform's social strategy fell short of expectations. Pollak will redirect his focus to Base blockchain's core infrastructure, prioritising trading, stablecoin payments, and AI agents. The leadership change is aimed at strengthening both the product and community sides of the project.
